The cennter for research and technology of K. N. Toosi University of Technology (CREATECH) is a core facility for interdisciplinary research and leading-edge innovations. The CREATECH center is located at the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Tehran, Iran and it is K. N. Toosi University’s premier research facility that offers space for groups of faculty researchers and their graduate students who are developing state-of-the-art technologies.

The CREATECH center was stablished in May 2016, and nearly 20 research groups secured space in the building by the end of the year. The Development Committee reviews applications for space and helps with commercialization of the projects. The CREATECH center features collaborative environment and flexible laboratories that can be customized to fit the needs of the ongoing projects.

The scientific program at the CREATECH center is structured into more than 20 research thrusts to include a variety of emerging technologies. The interrelated research areas are planned to be grouped into research cores and form more advanced research domains. The research thrusts at the CREATECH center include: Assistive Robotic and Biomechatronic Systems, Brain–Computer Interface (BCI) Systems, Control of Cyber-Physical Systems, Electromagnetic Radiation and Compatibility (ELERC), Energy Smart Grids, Fractional Order Systems and Controllers, Functional Imaging and Human Brain Mapping, Information Theory and Communication Security, Micro- and Nanoelectronic Computation, Millimeter Wave and Terahertz Technology, Monitoring in Power Systems, Nanostructures, Optical Networking, Photonics and THz Devices, Power System Security, Radar System Design, and Time-Domain Electromagnetics (TEM).
